The programs for 2023 each cost $3,800. This is a comprehensive price that includes all of the following:
room (double or triple occupancy);
board consisting of three meals per day;
all transportation in Germany;
29 periods of formal instruction per week;
all educational materials;
two day-long excursions;
one week-long excursion;
recreational and cultural activities;
a weekly allowance;
periodic laundry service.
Prospective participants who submit the application before November 30, 2022, will receive automatically an early-bird discount of $500. Participants who need additional financial support in order to participate must complete the scholarship-request portion of the application, including an honest estimate of how much additional funding would be necessary for that person to enroll. All applications must be submitted by December 31, 2022.
Regarding payment, a $500 deposit will be expected within three weeks of acceptance. The balance will be due by February 15, 2023. Early in the new year, participants will be provided with information on a group airfare to Europe but are advised to purchase trip insurance on their own.
Important update: Support from a benefactor now allows us to offer a limited number of full scholarships to our program. These scholarships would cover the entire cost of $3,800, but participants would still be responsible for airfare, passports, and personal items. Any application received by December 18, 2022, will automatically be considered for such a scholarship. Notification to recipients will be made by mid-January 2023.
